Elkhart County Parks

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Parks invites the public to experience backyard bats, with their program, "Creatures of the Night: Bats," on Thursday, June 27, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Organizers ask that you join them to watch these misunderstood creatures prepare for their nighttime excursion.

Attendees will learn about the different species of bats and why Indiana’s most common bat is now on the endangered species list.

You will also learn about the myths and truth of Indiana’s only flying mammal.

No registration is required for this free program.

Participants are to meet at the Briar Patch Shelter, on the south side of Bonneyville Mill County Park, located at 53373 C.R. 131, on C.R. 8 in Bristol.
