Crash involving vehicle, moped Monday morning in LaPaz

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – The driver of a moped was injured following a crash involving a vehicle on Monday morning, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reported.
At 6:54 a.m., deputies responded to the scene of a crash in the 100 block of Michigan Road and 1st Road in LaPaz.
A 2013 Toyota Camry was traveling north on Michigan Road, north of 1st Road, when it struck the rear of a 2008 Supra moped riding in the middle of the right-hand driving lane, according to reports.
The driver of the Camry said he did not see any rear tail lights on the moped and did not see the moped until he struck it, reports said.
The 16-year-old driver of the moped was taken to a local hospital for pelvic injuries.
