Community members and families invited to South Bend Community School Corporation showcase of schools Wednesday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Community School Corporation invites families and community members to its annual Showcase of Schools, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gym of the former Brown Community Learning Center.

Organizers say the event provides an opportunity to explore the educational programs available from pre-K through middle school within South Bend Schools.

Attendees will meet teachers, principals, and administrators, and get an inside look at the district’s academic and extracurricular offerings.

Organizers say complimentary food and giveaways will also be available during the showcase.

The showcase is free and open to all members of the community.

Organizers say the showcase will highlight recent district accomplishments, including:

• Highest graduation rates in over a decade
• Improved literacy scores across grade levels
• Commitment to safe and secure learning environments
• Inclusive athletic programs for all grades

The former Brown Community Learning Center is located at 737 W. Beale St.
