Class raises money in memory of fellow student

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A middle school class raised more than $1,000 in memory of a fellow student.

Their classmate died in a house fire last year.

The class created a newspaper and then sold it for 50 cents. They then decided to give all the money to the boy's parents.

"The community and the school pulled together, renewed our faith in our community," said Victoria Vaughn, victim's mother.

The class presented a $1,500 check to the family and their teacher says the class still sells the newspaper every day.
