ELKHART, Ind. -- The 2025 budget for the city of Elkhart has been set, with the total coming out to $126 million dollars.
Aspire Elkhart remains the focus for the city, as they make investments regarding infrastructure, public safety, and quality of place.
“We are in our ASPIRE era, and this budget is the first one reflective of our ASPIRE goals,” said Mayor Rod Roberson. “I want to express my gratitude to our Controller’s office, our staff, and department heads for the time they invested preparing and presenting this budget. Throughout this process, our Council leaders have asked the tough questions and in collaboration, we were able to craft a budget that will deliver the service our constituents expect and deserve."
The budget reflects the personnel, equipment, and projects necessary to carry out these plans, doing everything from renovating downtown landmarks to removing invasive plant species.
