Applications available for 2020 Lamppost Lighting Program

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The City of South Bend Department of Public Works is now accepting applications for the 2020 Lamppost Lighting Program. The program assists homeowners with lighting enhancements in their neighborhoods.

The city has selected two target areas based on income, number of vacant lots, and a need for lighting in the neighborhood.

The Lamppost Lighting Program offers self-install, solar-powered lamppost for residential front yards.

Homeowners will pay a different price based on their location:

  • Within target areas, homeowners pay 10% of total lamppost cost: $50.00
  • Outside target areas, homeowners pay 50% of total lamppost cost: $250.00

The last day to apply for the program is Friday, July 31.
