Cass County woman found guilty, faces up to 10 years for Possession of Meth

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Prosecutor's Office announced 47-year-old Martha Cramer was found guilty on Wednesday for Possession of Methamphetamine, following a day and a half jury trial.

Cramer is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 17 and faces a maximum prison time of 10 years and/or a fine of $15,000.

Court documents state during a routine compliance search of Cramer's home in Jones, Mich., officers found several rock-like substances and a large digital scale covered with apparent drug residue on a bed.

Authorities say Cramer initially denied owning the methamphetamine but later admitted she had gone to an undisclosed location and spent $60 for the methamphetamine.

At that time, Cramer was on probation for a Cass County conviction for Possession of Methamphetamine from April 19, 2024.

Following Cramer's guilty verdict, her bond was revoked. Prosecutors cited Cramer's numerous probation violations, repeated failure to appear in court, and her past record which also includes a 2018 Cass County Welfare Fraud felony conviction.
