ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Fourth graders, across all four Concord elementary schools, participated today in a balloon launch that took them on an educational journey tracking their balloon.
This project-based learning assignment allowed these fourth-grade students to research different aspects of the launch, including contacting the Federal Aviation Admissions (FAA), noticing the air admissions, and creating experiments to put on rig, in which many were food based.
Once launched, the students were able to track the balloon by bus, following the GPS tracker placed on the balloon.
The balloon was eventually recovered near Cold Water Michigan.
