Brand new school targeted by vandals
South Bend, IN - A brand new school has already been targeted by vandals.
Someone came to Marquette Montessori School, in South Bend, and used a permanent marker to write on the school’s playground equipment.
One message said, “Life sucks, so live it to the fullest.”
ABC 57 news showed up just as a parent was using a little citrus cleaner and elbow grease to clear the ink away.
Mary Delany, a parent scrubbing away the graffiti said, “My guess is that it's probably children that are doing it, and I don't know why they would do something like this when the school hasn't even opened and students have even been inside yet. So, I hope we nip it in the bud.”
The school is holding an open house on August 16, and parents hope to have all the graffiti scrubbed away by then.
