Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County to host opening ceremony for summer camp programming on June 12

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County will host an opening ceremony for summer camp programming on June 12 at 4 p.m. at the location of the Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County at 321 Detroit St. in Michigan City.

The event is open to Summer Club families and the community. There will be club tours, treats, and a brief presentation at 4:45 p.m.

The first day of camp is Thursday, June 13 for its Michigan City location and June 20 for its La Porte location. The programs are designed to get kids more physically active and get them involved in STEM through the Boy & Girls Clubs of La Porte County's Stepped-Up STEM program.

Over 400 campers are expected for this year.
