Boys & Girls Clubs and Big Brothers Big Sisters announce new partnership
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Southern Lake Michigan Region of Big Brother Big Sisters and the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County are partnering up for a new initiative to benefit the communities they serve.
This new initiative will provide children in the BBBS program with a place to meet up with their bigs and give kids on the BBBS waitlist a scholarship to join the Boys & Girls Club.
“I am so excited about this new partnership,” says LaTasha Bosse, Regional Vice President of Programs for BBBS. “This bridges a current need for youth that are ready to be matched with Big Brothers Big Sisters to start getting involved right away with the excellent programs of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. Their youth will also have the chance to be matched, so that they get the one-on-one time with a Big at the Clubs. What a win-win!”
“We have a shared vision to ensure that success is within reach for every young person in this community,” says Jacqueline Kronk, Chief Executive Officer for BGC. “Both of our models have shown that having a positive and meaningful relationship with an adult role model plays a significant part in that. With this collaboration, we can effectively reach and serve more kids.”
