Boil water order in effect for all of Walkerton during water main repair

WALKERTON, Ind. -- The Town of Walkerton announced a boil water order has been put in place for the entire town as of Friday just before 4 p.m., due to water main repairs.

Officials say order is a precautionary measure following a water main break.

Water customers can also expect to lose water pressure while the repairs are being made.

The decision to implement the boil order was made following consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
