Boil order issued for Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management issued a boil advisory on Wednesday night for when water is turned back on for the 100 block of Riverside Boulevard in Goshen.

The water main for that area was shut off in order to replace a water valve.

Water is safe to use for bathing, laundry, and restroom facilities, but should be boiled before being consumed.

Washing dishes is safe if a dishwasher with a sanitizing cycle is used, but if hand-washing, the dishes should be rinsed with boiled or bottled water.

Notice of a boil order cancellation will be distributed to the affected areas via a customer flier.

Customers are asked to call Ana with the Goshen Water Department at 574-534-5306 with any questions or concerns.
