Bodies found in Niles in submerged Jeep confirmed to be Alexa Navarro and Vanessa Bautista

BERRIEN COUNTY, Ind. -- Officials have now confirmed that the two bodies pulled from a submerged Jeep in Niles are two missing South Bend women.

ABC7 Chicago confirms that officials identified the bodies as 23-year-old Alexanda Navarro and Vanessa Bautista. A cause of death has not been released.

The two were last seen dropping off a friend in South Bend following a night out at The Arena Nightclub in Elkhart. Bautista's family tells ABC57 that her phone was last pinged outside of Brown Funeral Home in Niles via the Find My Friends app.
