Birthday party for Nugget the cat to raise funds for local animal rescue group
DOWAGIAC, Mich. - Ramona Roller Rink invites the public to skate and hang out with Nugget the cat to not only celebrate the feline's birthday, but to help support local animal rescue group, Paws of Hope.
Organizers say proceeds from admission will go to Paws of Hope.
They will also be accepting donations of paper towels, laundry detergent, towels, bleach, kitty litter, Purina kitten food, plastic grocery bags, white vinegar, dawn dish soap, and kitten toys.
Paws of Hope states on their website:
"Founded in 2012, we're a volunteer-only animal rescue group, passionately dedicated to providing a safe haven for pets in need. Operating without a physical shelter, our foster pets thrive in loving homes, receiving top-notch medical care and attention. Powered by community donations and driven volunteers, we focus on spaying, neutering, and vaccinations, aiming for a future where every paw is cherished, and every pet has a loving home. Join us in creating a world where compassion meets action."
You can view the official Facebook event page for further info and updates.
The feline fun is Sunday, March 3, at Ramona Roller Rink from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Ramona Roller Rink is located at 93103 County Road 690, Dowagiac, Mich. 49047.
