Beyond the Badge: A real look at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. --- ABC57’s Investigative team is introducing Michiana to our newest original series, ‘Beyond the Badge.’

Many headlines and phrases have swayed public opinion away from local police officers and the job they do every day.

‘Beyond the Badge’ is asking the tough questions, going beyond the headlines, beyond the crime tape, for a real look at one of the most dangerous jobs in America. The series examines the relationship between local police departments and everyday people in Michiana.

For the past few months, our team has been following the men and women who serve Pulaski County, to find out what it really means to go ‘Beyond the Badge.’

In the first episode of the series, Michiana will meet Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Deputy and K-9 Handler, Seth Barton, Pulaski County Sheriff Jeffery Richwine, County Jail Commander Steven Mundy and inmate Benjamin Fitch.
