BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. --- The Berrien Springs Pickle Festival returns this year bringing a Christmas time tradition to July. The festival with German roots will merge with Fourth of July celebrations this year at the Berrien County Courthouse and Library.
The festival will have fun starting at 10 a.m. with pickle decorating, pickle toss competitions, a Pickled Piper tasting room, and lots of vendors on site with several different pickled flavor treats.
An ice cream social will also be held on site for guests to cool off from the warm temperatures.
The festival will go on until 4 pm when attendees can relocate to watch the 4th of July Parade.
This is the first time the festival has taken place since 2005 and festival organizer Kelly Ewalt says it's hopefully the first time back, but they're hoping to make it an annual event again in the years to come.
