Cass County woman involved in collision transported to hospital for serious injuries

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – A 56-year-old Dowagiac woman was transported to the hospital on Tuesday after a car collision in which she sustained possible life-threatening injuries.

The collision involved two vehicles and it happened the area of S 11th St. near Fort Street in Niles Township in Berrien County.

Deputies investigating the incident determined that a Red Nissan Sentra was exiting the Speedway gas station onto 11th Street and failed to yield for an oncoming Blue Ford Explorer.

The Explorer then collided with the Nissan, causing non life-threatening injuries for the driver and passenger.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The front seat passenger of the Nissan was also transported to Memorial Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
