Berrien County gives update on storm damage cleanup

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - Crews are still working to clean up damage from storms that rolled through Berrien County on Thursday.

The Berrien County Road Department worked until 3 a.m. Friday cleaning what they could.

Some damage cannot be cleared until downed power lines are cleaned up by the electric company.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, the traffic signal at Colfax and Napier was dark due to the outage. The intersection should be treated as a four-way stop when no other traffic control devices are in place.

Road Department facilities are closed today due to the death of a co-worker but time-sensitive hazards can be reported to 911 Central Dispatch.
