Benton Harbor Area Schools receive large donation from Whirlpool

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Benton Harbor Area Schools have received a large donation from the Whirlpool Corporation in a generous show of support for the community.

The district was given $200,000 and a giant check to go along with it.

Superintendent Dr. Andrae Townsel received the mega-check Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

So far the intentions of how the check will be used for the schools has yet to be determined.
