Benton Harbor announces milestone in completion of new housing development

City of Benton Harbor BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor Mayor Marcus Muhammad announced on Tuesday that the City of Benton Harbor Government achieved a milestone with the completion of Project T.
Phase I of the development includes 28 duplex homes, with six zero-energy homes designed in collaboration with Whirlpool Corporation's sustainability team.
The new development sits on the former site of the historic Mercy Hospital and will convert vacant city-owned land into dream homes for existing and new residents, said city officials.
