Beaver Dam Road closure starts Oct. 21 for culvert replacement

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Berrien County Road Department announced starting Monday, Oct. 21, a section of Beaver Dam Road in Galien Township will close to thru traffic due to a culvert replacement to the Zaring and Russ Drain.

Beaver Dam Road between Buffalo Road and Olive Branch Road will remain closed until the projected end date of June 1, 2025.

Officials say once the culvert is installed the road will reopen with gravel in place over the culvert.

Contractors will return to complete the remaining work after the winter months, according to road department officials.

Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes or use the recommended detour route of Olive Branch Road to Pardee Road to Buffalo Road.
