ST. JOSEPH COUTY, Ind. -- On Tuesday Carl Baxmeyer addressed the allegations that he and Bill Schalliol failed to secure sufficient bonds for solar project decommissioning, which put the county at risk.
Baxmeyer clarified during the meeting that it was Schalliol who initially raised concerns about inadequate bonds, leading to discussions and research by the county council.
Baxmeyer emphasized that he and Bill Schalliol were not to blame for the county's current predicament and expressed a willingness to discuss the issue further.
While people want Baxmeyer to resign, he stated is not resigning from his position.
