EDWARDSBURG, Mich. -- Edwardsburg residents are still waiting for a new mural at the grain mill to be finished, with many believing their tax dollars are being used towards the incomplete artwork.
The Edwardsburg Village Town Hall confirmed that the mural is not taxpayer funded, and that the Uptown Improvement Association commissioned local artist Christopher Stackowicz to paint the mural with donations from local businesses and community members.
He says health issues and other projects have halted the progress in Edwardsburg.
"I've been trying to move as fast as humanly possible," said muralist Christopher Stackowicz. "Given the difficulties with health this summer, I'm feeling better and trying to get everything done so I can get back out here and work on it.".
Stackowicz is contracted on another project that needs to be finished before he can return to the grain mill to complete the mural.
