Arlington Pool closing after losing private financial donor

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - UPDATE: The Arlington Swim Club has posted another update via Facebook regarding the pool's closure.

The board has decided to hold an open board meeting on May 22, at 7:30 p.m., after the recent turn of events from their initial closure announcement.

The meeting will be held at the Arlington Pool.

The club invites all members to hear the reasoning for the closure and discuss if there are any last options.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Arlington Swim Club announced via Facebook the Arlington Pool will be closing due to a private financial donor recently backing out.

The donor would've paid off back taxes so the pool could continue to operate.

Working with the private donor was the final attempt to raise the needed funds.
