ARGOS, Ind. -- The Argos Parks and Recreation Department announced they've acquired 8.5 acres of land adjacent to Argos Community Park, which will be used to enhance recreational and greenspace amenities for the community.

Officials say the acquisition will expand the park to nearly 60 acres.

Park Board President Mark Dean stated, "This expansion marks an important moment for Argos Community Park, allowing us to provide additional opportunities for outdoor recreation and community engagement."

Officials say the specific use of the newly acquired land has yet to be decided.
