ELKHART, Ind. -- A portion of the Cassopolis Street and East Bristol Street intersection is closed following a pursuit with the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office that ended in a crash.

According to law enforcement, the crash occurred at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday between the suspect and another passenger vehicle. The Elkhart Police Department is assisting with traffic. Indiana State Police is investigating the incident itself.

The identity of the driver involved in the pursuit as well as their condition and that of others involved in the crash are unknown at this time.

Currently, traffic is closed eastbound on Bristol Street as well as northbound on Cassopolis Street.
