Angry customer smears French fries on equipment, damages furniture

An angry customer at Harold's Chicken Shack smeared French fries on windows and the credit card machine Saturday afternoon before leaving the restaurant. Elkhart Police are searching for the suspect.

Police responded to the restaurant on Benham Avenue on Monday to take the criminal mischief report.

Employees told police on Saturday, an upset customer smeared French fries on the windows and the credit card machine, then damaged a stool and trash can before leaving, reports said.

The suspect was described as a female, 5”6” tall with a medium build, wearing a gray shirt and black pants.
