CHICAGO, Ill. -- Adam Beckerink, the Chicago attorney convicted of domestic abuse in Berrien County, is now out of jail and back in the courtroom.
Beckerink appeared before a judge in Illinois on Tuesday for the charges of murdering his late wife, Caitlin Tracey.
In October of 2025, he received three months in the Berrien County jail for abusing Caitlin Tracey at her home in New Buffalo while they were separated.
Beckerink was in jail in Michigan, but investigators in Chicago charged him with killing his wife in a south loop high-rise condo building, allegedly pushing her 20 stories down a stairwell.
The Illinois governor signed an extradition order to transport Beckerink directly to jail and court, after he was released in Berrien County.
