We're kicking off the weekend with the start of a more active weather pattern that will last through the next 10 days. After snow showers this morning, much of today will be cloudy with a few flurries still possible during the afternoon. Snow showers return again overnight continuing into tomorrow morning, but Sunday afternoon will be dry with overcast skies. Temperatures stay warm enough today and tomorrow that we won't see lasting accumulation, but when all is said and done, many areas should have received around an inch of snow. Monday is dry and quiet ahead of the main focus of this forecast - a potential winter storm system heading our way Tuesday. Precipitation starts as snow Tuesday morning, turning to rain/wintry mix Tuesday afternoon, then back to mainly snow by Wednesday morning. Rain will limit snow totals, how long we'll see rain vs. snow still bears a question mark. Latest forecast models show a track that trends towards more rain/wintry mix than pure snow. Past Wednesday, we'll see more chances for snow showers with temperatures cooling through the end of the work week and into the weekend.
