SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57 was delighted to give a special guest a tour of the ABC57 studio on Thursday.
Teresa McLain contacted ABC57 asking if her mother, Nancy Young, could get an inside look at how meteorologists do their magic on live television. Her biggest question was on how meteorologists know where to point at on the weather map.
Nancy has macular degeneration, and visiting the studio was a must-see thing on her bucket list.
The ABC57 crew of course invited her to tour the studio with Meteorologist Tom Coomes giving Nancy a behind-the-scenes lesson on meteorology.
