A cold and soaking rain today, much cooler weather this week

NOW: A cold and soaking rain today, much cooler weather this week

Today starts off quiet, mild, and sunny with Michiana climbing out of the 50s this morning and towards the upper 70s by this afternoon. In the second half of today, a cold front droops in from our northwest and brings a marked change in conditions for the rest of the week. Starting around 3-4 PM EDT today, expect scattered showers in La Porte, St. Joseph, Berrien, and Cass Counties that expand southeastward with time. A cold and soaking rain, as well as a few thunderstorms, are expected this evening and overnight. The wet weather moves out early Thursday morning before many of us are awake, but the cooler temperatures stick around. Highs will sit in the mid 60s the rest of this week and weekend as well with generally dry weather expected. Friday is the exception as a secondary and weaker cold front push in, bringing a few more showers to Michiana.

Today: PM rain. High 78.

Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 50.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 66.

Friday: Scattered showers High 66.
