SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame artist and "Play Like a Champion" sign painter, Laurie Wanger, was at Auggie's Locker Room Friday signing autographs on not only helmets and signs, but other Irish collectibles people brought.
It was nearly 40 years ago that Wanger drew the famous sign that Head Coach Lou Holtz had imagined.
At Saturday's game, seniors will tap the legendary sign for maybe the final time.
