SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The last time Notre Dame had a Heisman candidate was in 2012 when Manti Teo finished second in the voting.
Now it’s Jeremyiah Love who has fans hopeful this is the year an Irish player brings the trophy to South Bend.
And to kick off his campaign the university enlisted the help of 1988 Notre Dame grad and award-winning author, Nicholas Sparks, to read a "Love" letter.
