Shop with a cop brings Christmas joy
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Police were dispatched to a three vehicle hit-and-run crash on Bendix Drive around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The St. Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) says the victims were driving North on Bendix Drive when the suspect’s car hit them from behind, pushing them into oncoming traffic.
Due to the first crash, the victim’s car t-boned a third vehicle.
Two people in the first vehicle, a woman and a boy, are reportedly dead. Authorities could not confirm whether or not they were related
Three other victims from the third car are in serious condition at the hospital, including a young child.
Police are looking for two suspects who they believe fled on foot into the woods, where someone else may have picked them up.
FACT and other agencies are investigating on scene.
