70-year-old motorcyclist dies in Watervliet crash

WATERVLIET, Mich. - One person is dead after a crash in Berrien County.

The sheriff's office says a motorcycle struck a pickup truck Wednesday night on M140 at 48th Avenue in Watervliet.

Investigators say the motorcycle, driven by Bobby Tanner, 70, of Bangor, was headed north on M140, when the truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

Tanner, who was thrown off the motorcycle, later died at the hospital.

Deputies say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.

They say the investigation will continue.
