ABC57 Saturday Kickoff host Allison Hayes is sharing messages of hope from community members across Michiana who are still finding ways to spread positivity despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Niele Ivey spent 17 years as a player and assistant coach for the Notre Dame women’s basketball team.
On April 23, Ivey made her debut as the team’s head coach, following in the footsteps of Muffet McGraw, who announced her retirement the same day.
Ivey took some time on April 23 to share some words of encouragement with Irish fans everywhere.
“Hey Irish fans, I’m so excited to be back, so excited to be back in South Bend. Just want to make sure you guys are staying safe, practicing social distancing. Need you guys to be there, because I want you guys to celebrate when we can come together. We’re doing this together, we’re all in this together, so stay safe,” Ivey said.
