CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital in Dowagiac for a 42-year-old woman who was suffering from a gunshot wound around 7:24 p.m., Sunday.

The victim told the authorities that she was shot at a property in the 57000 block of O’Keefe Road in LaGrange Township.

The victim was then taken to Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital in Kalamazoo where she is currently in the ICU for her injuries.

The report states information was received that the shooting suspects could be found at a property in the 57000 block of M 51.

Deputies responded to the property and took a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old man into custody without incident.

Authorities say the men's names are being withheld pending arraignment on the charges in the 4th District Court.

A search warrant was then executed in the 57000 block of O’Keefe Road where the shooting occurred.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Authorities say this was not a random act and there is no threat to the public.
