NILES, Mich. -- Wonderland Cinema in Niles is hosting a one-night-only documentary showing 25 Cats from Qatar Tuesday, Oct. 14.

The documentary, directed by Mye Hoang, explores the over-population of free-roaming cats in Qatar alongside the story of underground animal rescuers and a Milwaukee cat café owner who attempt to bring 25 cats to Wisconsin for adoption.

The showing will be at Wonderland Cinema in Niles on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., and the single-night event will be a benefit for The Meow Mission, a nonprofit based in St. Joseph County that promotes humane solutions for managing free-roaming cat populations.

The event will be co-presented by The Cat Lady Café, another cat café located in South Bend.

Tickets for 25 Cats from Qatar are on sale for $5, and the event will also feature a cat food donation for The Meow Mission, raffles, cat toys for sale, and a live Q and A with director Mye Hoang after the film.
