LIVE UPDATES: major winter weather travel impacts in and around Michiana amidst holiday travel
INDOT SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Millions of people are traveling across the U.S.A. this weekend as a large winter storm causes delays and cancellations in the Great Lakes and Midwest regions.
As of 2:50 PM EST, INDOT reported a section of northbound US-31 closed between Pierce Road and New Road, located about two to four miles south of South Bend.
In Berrien County, the eastbound I-94 Ramp to US-31 (exit 33) was closed due to a crash but is now reopened.
Near Chesterton, Indiana, as of 4:12 PM EST (west of Michigan City), a stalled vehicle is blocking the right lane of I-65 heading north between 93rd Avenue and US-30.
Between IN-5 and IN-18 near Marion, Indiana, all I-69 southbound lanes are closed due to a crash as of 4:18 PM EST.
In Berrien County, EB I-94 at John Beers Rd Exit 22 is closed due to a crash.
In South Bend, a crash was reported on S.R 23 and Douglas between two vehicles.
