$1,000 available for perfect attendance at Benton Harbor High School
ABC 57 BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor High School announced Thursday that the Strive for Five Attendance Challenge, where all Benton Harbor High School students can earn up to $1,000 by attending school periods, will begin Tuesday, Jan. 20.
As Benton Harbor High School explains, the Strive for Five Attendance Challenge automatically rewards consistent student attendance with $100 for every student who completes a five-day week of school with no absences or tardies on record for that week.
Excused absences and tardies will count against a student's perfect attendance, though field trips, in-school activities, snow days, and holidays will not.
You can sign your BHHS student up online. Students who are 18 may sign themselves up.
There will be 10 different five-day cycles to earn $100 for, between Jan. 20 and Apr. 10. Feb. 9 through 13 will be a bye week where no payments will be made.
