Your Voice, Your Vote: Early voting locations, information for local Hoosiers
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The deadline for voter registration in Indiana passed on Monday, Oct. 7, and now the period of early voting begins.
Hoosiers across the state and right here in Michiana will have the chance to vote at their own convenience and avoid the long lines on voting day by finding the early voting locations for their county.
Local early voting hours and locations:
LAGRANGE COUNTY -- La Grange County offers early voting at the county courthouse (105 N. Detroit St. in LaGrange) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break between noon and 1 p.m.
STARKE COUNTY -- Voters in Starke County can cast their votes early on the second-floor conference room in the Starke County Courthouse at 53 E. Washington in Knox starting Tuesday, Oct. 8 and going until Friday, Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 -.m. CT.
On Monday, Nov. 4, voting will be 8 a.m. to noon CT.
There will be no early voting Monday, Oct. 14 due to Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day.
For those who cannot make it to the courthouse during traditional working hours, early voting will be available Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 2 at the courthouse from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition to the hours at the courthouse, two satellite locations will be opening. Voters can go to the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25 from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Voters can also go to the Koontz Lake Sewer District Building Thursday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 1 from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT.
