Where to apply for disaster relief following the Aug. 11 derecho

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Those impacted by the recent severe weather across Indiana may apply for disaster relief through the Indiana Department of Homeland Security website.

A derecho was confirmed to have hit the state on Aug. 11, resulting in widespread damage and thousands of Hoosiers being left without power.

At least two tornadoes touched down, alongside large hail. Flash flooding also resulted in widespread damage.
