When does it get bad?

NOW: When does it get bad?

Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Sunday evening, with all of Michiana expecting over a half foot of snow. The northwestern portion of our viewing area will likely see double digits in snow accumulation through Sunday evening. Though we have no true cap to how much snow is likely to fall, but totals will likely stay below the 15-inch mark. Heavy snow expected through the afternoon hours and into overnight, with the chance for some freezing rain in the early morning hours of Sunday, though this will likely not affect everyone. System snow lightens through Sunday morning, with light lake effect snow likely into Monday morning. Thanks to breezy conditions through this event, visibility will likely be cut to white-out conditions through this afternoon. Avoid roads, if possible, as they will be slick even after being cleared. Some more snow chances into the week with dominantly cold temperatures to start the month of December.

Today: Snow through the day, heavier in the afternoon. Breezy with visibility issues as the largest impact. High 28.
Tonight: Heavy snow, some mixed precipitation.  Low 26.
Sunday: System snow wraps in the morning; light lake effect continues. High 32.
Monday: Some morning lake effect snow, not adding too much to totals. Another round of system snow expected overnight. High 28.
