Here are just a few of the events and activities going on in the Michiana area this weekend.

Westside BBQ and Craft Festival at Unity Gardens

Unity Gardens will be host to the Westside BBQ and Craft Festival on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers invite you to bring the whole family to this event.

The fest will spotlight local chefs and artists, plus you can enjoy live music, the garden, and more.

Admission is free and all proceeds from the day will go toward Unity Gardens and the South Bend chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Unity Gardens is located at 3701 Prast Blvd. in South Bend.

Cass County Fair starts Sunday, live entertainment, food, rides, and more

As July's festivities wind down, the Cass County Fair is just winding up, with the fair starting on Sunday at 8 a.m. at 590 N O'Keeffe St. in Cassopolis.

There will be pre-fair activities on Friday and Saturday as well. During pre-fair days, the rides will be closed. You can find the activity schedule here.

The fair's last day will be August 3. Gates open at 8 a.m. daily and admission is $7 per person. Children 6 to 12 are $2 each. Children 5 and under are free.

Season passes are $25 and may be purchased at the fair office.

There will be fair rides, live entertainment, food vendors, games, and more for the whole family.

Non-profit holding Lapaz Auto Mania Saturday

Operation Lend a Hand

Operation Lend a Handis hosting a benefit car show in the parking lot of Lapaz Diner and Macs Market on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., with all proceeds going to local non-profits.

You can pre-register your car online, here, or in person on Saturday. The cost is $20 or $20 worth of school supplies, which will go to local students. Admission is free.

Organizers say the event is going to be an evening filled with fun where you can bring the whole family to enjoy cool cars and grab a bite to eat.

All registered cars will get one coupon for $5 off $25 to the Lapaz Diner.

Organizers say the first 100 cars registered will receive a free show t-shirt.

All types of vehicles are welcome, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, and more according to organizers.

The Lapaz Diner is located at 2037 Michigan Rd. in Plymouth.
