This afternoon and evening will be scorching hot, with highs in the mid 90s paired with thick humidity. Even overnight, temperatures will only drop to around 78 degrees, meaning that temps will stay in the 80s through the evening if you have plans for the Elkhart Co. Fair, Liverpool game, etc. Make sure to wear breathable clothing and drink plenty of water.
Saturday will stay just as hot and humid, with a chance for some strong to severe storms during the evening around 8 PM. There is a marginal risk for damaging wind and hail, especially on the northwest side of Michiana. Before that rolls in, it will be a good day for the pool, lake or beach. On Sunday, a cold front will push into Michiana, popping up a few storms in the morning, and more in the afternoon and evening. We have a low threat for severe storms on Sunday afternoon too.
Tonight: Mostly clear, low of 78.
Saturday: Extreme heat, mostly to partly sunny, high of 96.
Sunday: Scattered showers & storms, high of 84.
