SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Major League pitcher Wade Miley made his rehab assignment debut with the South Bend Cubs on Friday night.
Miley pitched against the Lake County Captains on Friday for the first time since June 10.
The lefty gave up five hits and struck out one batter before being pulled in the third inning.
The game went to extra innings, with the Cubs coming out on top by a score of 7-6.
