Van Buren County woman accidentally shoots herself in foot

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — Van Buren County police say a 46-year-old woman accidentally shot herself in the right foot with a handgun.
Police say her pistol was jammed, so she pulled the slide back and saw a shell eject. The woman thought the gun was empty.
She pointed it down, pulling the trigger. That's when the gun fired and the bullet went through her foot.
