U.S. 6 in LaPorte County to be closed for construction

LAPORTE, Ind. – U.S. 6 in LaPorte County will be closed Monday, July 20 due to construction.
U.S. 6 will be closed between State Road 39 and U.S. 35. The road will be expected to open in mid-August, 2020.
It will be reduced to one lane in each direction for local traffic only.
Crews will be patching the road for a resurfacing project.
The official detour will follow State Road 39, U.S. 30, and U.S. 35.
