Update on investigation into hidden camera at fire department

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has released an update in the investigation into the discovery of a hidden camera allegedly found in the women's locker room at the South Bend Fire Department.

The prosecutor's office says Indiana State Police, who are investigating the case, met with Prosecutor Ken Cotter to brief him on the current status of the investigation.

Police said they are waiting on subpoena results from an internet service provided. Once those are received, they will brief the prosecutor again.

Because members of the Special Victim's Unit are members of the South Bend Police Department, the Indiana State Police were asked to conduct the investigation.

The camera was discovered in June 2021.
